Born and raised in Wellington, Bernie Feehan has travelled widely both in New Zealand and overseas.  He is the son of Irish immigrants and grew up within the warmth and laughter of a large group of Irish friends and family.

He spent much of his youth playing rugby, a nippy little winger, on Wellington’s green and muddy fields. He still loves the game.  He never misses an All Blacks match, and backs them all the way (except perhaps when they are playing Ireland?).

Bernie spent many years working as an electrician, both in New Zealand and overseas.  A definite highlight of his electrical career was working on Lord of the Rings.  This was a four-year stint during which he helped bring the fantastical film sets to life.

It was this love of people and adventure that led Bernie to start his career as a chauffeur in Wellington. He quickly discovered that he had a natural for driving,  for making people feel welcome. He has became a local legend, known for his easy manner and his willingness to go the extra mile (sometimes quite literally!)

Bernie takes great pride in his work, both a chauffeur and as a representative of his city. He is always eager to share his knowledge of Wellington’s many sights and sounds, and loves nothing more than introducing visitors to the hidden gems that only a local know.

Bernie loves meeting people from all four corners of the world and delights in their zest for and curiosity about new places, people and experiences.

He understands that being a chauffeur is about more than just driving. It’s about connecting with people, offering a warm smile and a friendly ear, and sharing in the joy of discovery. It’s a career that suits him perfectly, and one that he hopes to continue for many years to come.
